OUR PROJECTS

Ofter our community is left without a voice on issues that affect our daily lives. That's unacceptable to us as leaders in our community. We are committed to spesk up on behalf of the people we represent, regardless of the issue or political ramifications. The Fannie Lou Hamer Coalition will stand tall to:

  • Support and protect our public schools

  • Support business development in our community and equity of opportunity

  • Support political candidates that stand with our community

  • Educate our community on the issues that affect us

  • Expand our influence through recuiting of like minded elected officials

ABOUT US >

Founded in 2014 after the murder of Mike Brown and during the unrest in Ferguson, a group of Black elected officials, committed to defending their community, joined forces to support and protect the future of the people they represent. From the leadership of the late Councilwoman Hazel Erby and dozens of other officials, the Fannie Lou Hamer Coalition was born.
